Sickness Income Plan

This plan protects your standard of living by providing regular monthly benefit payments if a covered sickness prevents you from working.

  • This policy provides benefits if you suffer total disability (incapacity) because of sickness

  • Provides peace of mind by providing additional income when you need it most.  If you were incapacitated by an illness, you might face unforeseen expenses when you could least afford them
  • The plan can be used to supplement your lost earnings or those of your spouse/civil partner/partner if they take time off work
  • Cover is available to anyone between the ages of 16 and 64 at the date of application.  The policy ceases at 80. (The benefits payable are reduced by 50% when the Insured becomes 70 years of age).
  • Whilst you keep your policy in force with Combined Insurance, you will have access to the services of Best Doctors© - a leading medical advisory service

13.6 million working days were lost due to work-related ill health ( not including stress, depression and anxiety) in 2009/10

  • The maximum amount of Sickness Income Plan cover is based on your yearly earned income on the date we issue the policy
  • We will pay from the fourth day of disability for up to six months. This increases by one month for every three months you keep the policy in force

Ways we protect you

  1. Benefits paid directly to you:  Benefits will be yours to spend as you choose.  You could replace lost earnings, pay for medical expenses or even take a holiday to help get better – it’s up to you.
  2. Peace of mind: You are protected 24 hours a day, every day of the year, on and off the job
