Daily benefits for hospitalisation due to a covered sickness. Benefits are paid from the 1st day of sickness for each night you are in hospital as an in-patient. Benefits are also paid for convalescence following hospitalisation.

So if you should be admitted to hospital overnight as a result of a covered sickness, Combined will pay you up to £200 per day, that’s £6,000 per month for a period of up to 3 years. Following overnight hospitalisation there is usually a recovery period when you are still totally disabled, under the care of a doctor and unable to work. Should that happen, Combined will continue to pay you at home for up to twice the number of days that you were in hospital at the rate of £100 per day, that’s £3,000 per month. You will be covered with Combined…
- If you are confined to hospital overnight as an in-patient because of sickness
- For convalescence following overnight in-patient hospitalisation
- If hospitalisation is due to Cancer, Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery, Heart Attack, Kidney Failure or Stroke then double benefit is payable
You can use Combined’s Sickness Hospitalisation Income Plan to:
- Supplement your lost earnings
- Supplement the earnings of your spouse/partner if they take time off work
- Pay for someone to look after your children
- Help towards medical expenses
- Pay for any extra travel costs
- Help you take a holiday to recuperate
How you choose to use the benefit is completely up to you.
In summary, Combined’s Sickness Hospitalisation Income Plan provides you with:
- Benefits paid from the 1st night in hospital due to a covered sickness and for each subsequent night in hospital
- Hospital in-patient benefits for sickness of up to £200 per day
- Additional hospital in-patient benefits due to a covered critical illness of up to £200 per day
- Convalescence benefit for sickness of up to £100 per day for up to twice the number of in-patient days
- Additional convalescence benefit due to a covered critical illness of up to £100 a day (£3,000 a month)
- Additional convalescence benefit due to a covered critical illness of up to £100 per day
- All benefits are payable in addition to those provided by any other sickness policy and State benefits

- No medical examination is required
- Children can also be covered at special rates
